Dogs + Carpets =

We are dog sitting Oscar and Cassie (top). The bottom photo shows what remains of a scrap piece of carpet we put in the yard for them to sleep on.

"Hah! We don't need no stinkin' carpet."

The Unknown Sunflower

There was a show on American television in the late 70’s called The Gong Show. One of the regulars on the show was The Unknown Comic, a guy who told jokes while wearing a paper bag over his head. I have no idea why I remember that. He wasn’t even funny – except for the bag over his head.

By the way, the reason for the paper bag over the sunflower’s head is not for laughs but to save the seeds from birds so we can have more sunflowers next year. The rest of the seeds are theirs.
